Ready, Set, Gavin's Off To Kindergarten!

In some ways the past 5 years seem just like that, 5 years. In other ways I'm wondering where the time has gone?? Gavin started kindergarten this morning with a grin from ear to ear! We have been blessed to be able to keep him at the Christian school he's been going to preschool at for the past 2 years. So, he had no anxiety this morning when it was time to head out to the 'big leagues'!

G-Force on the Big Screen!

We still have a drive in theater here in Fayetteville. We took the boys and Kayle to see G-Force the other night. They had a good time, but I made the mistake of taking glow-in-the-dark necklaces for them. I thought that was the perfect addition the the outdoor fun. Turns out it was, but I think they payed more attention to the necklaces than the movie! Oh well, they still had a good time.

Gavin's 5!!

Hard to believe that Gavin's turning 5 and about to start kindergarten. We had his party at Fast Lane this year. It's a new bowling alley here in NWA with an arcade and indoor go karts. The kids had a blast. He had quite the turn out. I think there were 14 kids there!! We bought him a new bike this year. He thinks it's the coolest!

Tumblebus Day!

Thursdays at Ean's daycare are quite exciting! All of the kids can't wait until the Tumblebus rolls in. He just started going a few weeks ago and I went down one day to check it out.

HANDSOME!

Gavin was the ring bearer in my cousin's wedding in July. You never know how it's going to turn out when you're including the kids but he and the two flower girls all did great! He looked so handsome all dressed up!

Pool Party

The boys enjoyed a day in Nan's pool one weekend. As you can tell, they had a great time in the water with the cousins.

Like Night and Day

He spotted me with the camera and took advantage of the moment in the spotlight!

Gavin took swim lessons again this year. While we were on vacation we went to the indoor water park. Gavin played on the slides and tree house for about 6 hours straight! I was shocked because the previous May we had taken him to Branson and stayed at a hotel that also has an indoor water park and he was terrified! This year, he has enjoyed the water so much.

Ean's first swim lesson

Ean had his first shot at swim lessons this year. He was like a little fish. He watches Gavin, so already knows how to stick his head under and loves to jump into the water!

Vacation Time!!

The boys enjoying a little sugar before our trip home!
Ean loved the rides, but was not happy when it was time to get out. It took Jason about 5 minutes to get him out of this big truck!

Gavin loved the bumper cars!

At Nickolodeon Universe the characters walk around all over. We caught up with Pablo, which is Ean's favorite!

Gavin wanted to milk the cows at the farm area of the zoo, but we missed the time so he tried on a goat instead!

Ean found a little goat just his size!

We flew to the Mall of America in Minneapolis for vacation this past June. We stayed right across the street so we could walk back and forth. While we were there we went to Lego Land, the Nickolodeon Theme Park, the Aquarium, and played miniature golf which were all in the mall. We also went to the Minnesota Zoo one day. Another day we went to the World's Largest Indoor Water Park. We all had a great time. The boys both did great on the trip and while we were there. Of course, we all needed another week to recover from the vacation...but that's how family vacations are supposed to be, right??

Construction in Progress

Each year there is a fundraiser here in NWA where the kids get to go and climb through trucks, police cars, tractors, etc... They also have a project area. This year they were building tool boxes. They were both quite the little handymen. The trucks were a big hit too!

The Juggler

Gavin's class worked on their acts all year long to get ready for their night under the BIG top! He was one of the jugglers. They did a great job juggling that bowling pin! He also twirled a plate high above. It was quite the performance. I do think he was more excited about his mustache than anything else!! Everything was covered from the peanut salesman to the animal tamers. They had a great time.
